First Announcement

This is the fifth in a series of scientific meetings which specialise in reporting and discussing progress in the development of X-ray lasers and their applications to science and industry. With this meeting, the series changes form from colloquium to conference. Invited papers as well as oral and poster contributions will be presented. Proceedings from the meeting will be published.

We invite all laboratories active in the development of X-ray lasers and applications to present their work at this conference, as has been done in the past. This particular meeting will take place in the university city of Lund, where the Lund Laser Centre is the host. Lund, with about 80.000 inhabitants, has the largest university in Scandinavia. The city is located in the south of Sweden, about 40 km from Copenhagen, Denmark.

Lund can be easily reached either by

1) air to Copenhagen + a 40-minute boat trip to Malmö, Sweden + 20 km by train, bus or taxi to Lund

2) air to Malmö, Sweden + 20 km by bus or taxi to Lund.

There are more international flights to Copenhagen than to Malmö.

A second announcement including a call for papers, registration and accomodation details for the meeting will be sent out in the autumn of 1995.
